What a fun party at Gallery 55 . Chris Bergeron from Metro West Daily News interviewed me so you can look for an article this Thursday! John Mottern contributed with some pictures..here's a picture of the picture, dahling. And my painting Dog Looking Up is now sold. A dear friend bought my dear friend of a painting. But don't fret,
giclee prints are available! There was a beautiful sushi
spread, martinis & wine. I could get used to this. I'm never leaving John.
If you'd like to see the video Gedas took of John and me at the opening talking about my art, here it is. (edited in a most rudimentary way by me) Or you can go to my website . So much happening, it's been a fun ride.
Tonight I submit my image for the Twitter:140 show Sheree Rensel, aka @wizzlewolf put together. It will travel around to many galleries, the requirement is that it be less than 140 square inches, and have the Twitter:140 theme. Here's 'The Mission' Twitter birds spreading the message to all corners of the earth in real time. this was really shown with both the Iran demonstrations ( I saw the death of Neda before I heard of it hours later on the news) and MK. It's kind of amazing really. I think it's a cool idea @wizzlewolf has...i can't wait to see how it pans out. If you want to follow on twitter, I'm @animallounge . And I'd love to have you as a fan on Facebook, where i will keep you up to date on amy art happenings
I was just googling to see whatever happened to Bubbles. He seems to be happily living in a sanctuary. In 2003 I read that Bubble's was suicidal after having to leave. MJ was smart enough to realize that chimps are wild animals and can get violent before he or his children risked experiencing a Travis episode. But how sad for Bubbles after being inseparable with MJ to get sent away. He's reportedly happy now at a sanctuary, and good friends with a 40 year old chimp -Sam .The rest of the exotic animals he had got dispersed in many ways after the molestation trial and financial difficulties, and his move to Bahrain. He had snakes that may have ended up in a roadsde show, tigers, elephants, giraffes,....a spider collection. He left and never went back so the animals had to be removed with no money to pay for their care.
